The 10 coolest Sprinter camper vans in 2026
Every van here is built on a Mercedes-Benz Sprinter and can be bought finished, from dealer-stocked Class B models to custom shops with vans ready to drive. Prices are the published figures, and where a builder only publishes a range, we show the range.

How we ranked these
By who each van is for and what you get for the money. What we weighed:
- Whether you can buy it finished. Every entry is a van you can drive away, either from a dealer or from a builder's ready-built stock.
- Off-grid range. Battery capacity, solar and water decide how long you can stay parked without hookups.
- Drive and wheelbase. AWD and 4x4 for dirt and snow, 144 or 170 for the space you need.
- Support. A dealer network and a manufacturer warranty count for a lot on a long trip, and production models get credit for them.
Common questions
What is the best Sprinter camper van in 2026?
The Desert Scout from Brooklyn Campervans leads this list at $199,500: a 144 AWD Sprinter with a configurable queen bed and futon, finished and for sale rather than in a build queue. For a factory Class B with a national dealer network behind it, the Winnebago Revel is the pick.
How much does a Sprinter camper van cost?
New Sprinter camper vans on this list start at $156,300 for a Sportsmobile build with the van included, and the factory Class B models sit between $200,000 and $290,000. The bare Sprinter accounts for $70,300 to $83,900 of that, depending on wheelbase, roof and drive.
Should I get a 144 or a 170 wheelbase Sprinter?
The 144 has a wheelbase 26 inches shorter than the 170, which makes it easier to park and to turn on narrow trails, and it suits two people. The 170 buys room for a fixed bed plus a bathroom or a dinette, and it is the better choice if you are living in the van for weeks at a time.
Is AWD worth it on a Sprinter camper van?
For snow, dirt roads and wet campsites, yes. Most of the vans here are AWD or 4x4, and the rest are rear-wheel drive with a lower price and better fuel economy. If your trips stay on pavement, rear-wheel drive is enough.
